Nyaaa~!
In this episode, instead of Cecilia being the class rep, she turned her position over Ichika! Aside from that, a transfer student appears in the form of Fan Rinrin aka this show’s Chinese character and will be part of Ichika’s harem once she is defeated… well, she is partly part of it since she is also Ichika’s childhood friend, anyways, here is episode 3!
To begin with, I was surprised on the sudden change of heart with Cecilia. I mean, at the first two episodes, she was like, “I am English! You are some lowlife Jap! You have no right to mingle with my kind!” kind but now she acts like one of Ichika’s wives along with Houki when Rin was first introduced!
I am disappointed with the sudden change. If they decide to make Cecilia one of Ichika’s harem, at least retain 70% of her personality so that she would not look like Houki’s blonde clone!
This episode shows us how to deploy your personal IS. Cecilia's deployment sequence reminded me alot of mahou shojo titles while as for Ichika's, it reminded me more of Super Sentai henshin sequences. Also, I love that each one has its own unique transformation trinket!
The episode is another introduction episode and this time, it is about Fan Rinrin simply known as Rin by Ichika. To begin with, she reminded me of every female Chinese character is anime except she is a bit tamer and pilots a mecha. Speaking of mecha, the name of her IS is Shenlong! Wufei anyone? Anyways, I find Rin likable and a lot stronger compared to Cecilia considering that she can partially deploy her IS' arm as a defense mechanism to Houki's attack!
The episode also shows us how Ichika learned that he can pilot an IS. I find the scene mystical and I hope that at the end of the series, they can properly explain this phenomenon. My theory on why Ichika can use an IS basing on this scene? Genes.
Overall, it is mediocre compared to the previous one and that is because of the sudden change with Cecilia. Sure, she did some realization about Ichika on the last clip of the previous episode but it still bothers me how she acted like that in this episode like she knew Ichika for more than a year. But I got to admit, the scenes which involved the three of them are fun to watch! As for Rin’s introduction, it was good, it established most of her personality, and I can’t wait to see her fight with Ichika!
