Dissidia 012 : Final Fantasy 1st Production Department Premiere Trailer

Sorry for the long title but it is for us to differentiate it with the other trailers that surfaced earlier. Anyways, this is the latest trailer that was released yesterday on Square-Enix's 1st Production Department Conference in which we are revealed of a Final Fantasy XIII-2, XIII Agito renamed as Type-0, and more stuff regarding Dissidia 012!

In this trailer, alternate costumes of Jecht and Tidus where shown, Yuna is not anymore a feet, I mean, she is officially revealed. Prishe trolls some guy and yes, Gilgamesh is trolling Bartz at the Rift. So for ladies who are still dressing up as men, it's morphin' time! Also, at the near end of the trailer, a scene of Aerith assisting Cloud in Dissidia 012 Prologus: Final Fantasy was shown.

Gilgamesh (FFV) & Prishe (FFXI) Confirmed on Dissidia 012!

The wandering swordsman from FFV known for his Genji Equipment and his constant search of the sword called, Excalibur (which he end up getting an Excalipur), Gilgamesh is confirmed to be part of Chaos' side in Dissidia 012 [duodecim]: Final Fantasy and also, FFXI's Prishe will part of the roster!

His appearance was confirmed on the the trailer first seen on the first production press conference in which he popped out at the end of the trailer saying, "It's been a long time, Bartz." To those who don't know, in FFV (which I just observed my younger brother playing with), he had a heated rivalry with Bartz Klauser. The picture that is found on top of this page is his official artwork in which hackers discovered while hacking Dissidia 012 Prologus.

Aside from that, Prishe from FFXI is part of the roster as seen in the trailer. It is not sure which side she will be part off.

Dissidia 012 Prologus is a Paid Demo

Dissidia Duodecim [012] Prologus is a trademark that suddenly appeared. Many fans speculated that this might be a prologue to the events that will happen in Dissidia 012 while some speculate it as a paid demo of the game to get them hype with the finish product... and they are right. Yep, this game is a paid demo.

Square Enix formally announced it at their press event (which also confirms a FFXIII-2). It’s coming to PlayStation Network now and it exclusively adds Final Fantasy VII character Aerith/Aeris as an assist character! This demo will have an original short scenario and an arcade mode. You can get it for 300 yen or about $3.75. Take note, you must buy the game for you to play Aerith!

Special thanks to Siliconera!

Yuna Confirmed on Dissidia 012!

Her feet was hinted on the Jump Fiesta Trailer, and now, on the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, it is confirmed that Yuna will appear on Dissidia 012, and yup, she will summon monsters!

In the scan, she has the ability to control two Aeons (the name of the summoned monsters on FFX) at the same time. The magazine has a screenshot that shows Yuna controlling Shiva and Ixion for simultaneous attacks. She is also said to summon King Bahamut in the game.

Her EX Burst is somewhat translated to as, Sending Off to the Spirit World, this attack makes Yuna call all of her Aeons for a consecutive set of attacks!

Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy Jump Fiesta Trailer!

Here is the latest trailer coming from the Jump Fiesta of the upcoming sequel of Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Dissidia Duodecim [012]: Final Fantasy!

In this latest trailer, we have seen the new Assist feature in which we saw Tifa and Cloud beat Sephy and Squall and his dad, Laguna fighting Ultimencia. Also, we have the glimpse of the classic world wandering that Final Fantasy is known for with Vaan (which is not voiced by Otoya *sad*) and Terra in one party. For FFX fans out there, there is a major surprise for you guys in the trailer!

FF IV Complete Collection PSP Trailer

This. This is one hell of a Christmas gift. Anyways, as we all know, FFIV was remade for the DS two years ago and later, its sequel FFIV: The After Years which is first available for mobile phones was released, and in the US, for the Wii. Now, we have this.

Yep, you are not blinded, the CGI sequences from the FFIV DS remake are back, and this time, part of this bundle is FFIV: The After Years, with CGI sequences and more love for Ceodore and Dark Kain! Now, how does my Rydia look like after 17 years, same case with Palom. Also, the return of the retro fight screen, this really screams the PSOne remake of FFI and FFII!

Laguna Loire on Dissidia 012!

This is one surprising addition for Final Fantasy VIII fans. Most fans of the series expect either Rinoa or Seifer but we have Squall's bumbling yet lovable father, Laguna Loire as revealed in the latest scan of Jump!

He still carries his signature outfit from FFVIII and his signature weapon, a machine gun. According to the said scan, he will act as the big brother to the Warriors of Cosmos... not sure if he will act like a father to Squall! Anyways, this is the second time we have a father and son in Dissidia. The first was with FFX with Tidus and Jecht.

His EX Burst is called Full Salvo in which in this scan, he used it to fight against Ultimencia (pictured on the left). On your right, you see him use his machine gun to fight Ultimencia!

Now I am starting to wonder, when will Square-Enix add an additional character for Chaos' side? I demand Gilgamesh from FFV! One thing I noticed about Laguna, he kinda looks like a gender bend version of Tifa. Just remove the jacket, and give him gloves, he kinda looks like her. Now I understand Squall...

150-Word Reviews: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (Non-Gamer Perspective)

The first 150-Word Reviews was well received, and when I reposted it on JEFusion last time, it was also well received with some rather harsh comments. Since I am not that clear with the first one, here’s how this thing works (Which I forgot to mention from the start!).

I will review titles that are in its extremes, namely, extremely bad titles and extremely good titles within 150-Words. It doesn’t limit to movies but to TV shows, books and etc. Other planned 150-Word Reviews include, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie and the Gamer’s Perspective this review, which I will review in a non-gamer’s perspective since I thought, it would be fun to do it that way! Anyways, here’s Final Fantasy VII: The Advent Children… in 150 words or less!

Note: I am doing these reviews for fun. So don't take much of it seriously. Its kinda like ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com's 5 Second Movies, except this is 150 words or less!

So the film is about a guy who is being hunted by his past that wields a giant sword and is now delivering goods? Interesting. The fights were good, the CGI was eye candy and the plot was… the plot was… weird.

Seriously, those three silver haired guys are after for a box with some weird liquid inside and use kids as their slaves or something?! What’s with that?! And once they had the box, they can use it to turn into some weird guy that wields a long sword? And it still bothers me, what’s with the reinforcements at the end that never participated much in the final battle? I mean, come on! The film’s focus was good before they arrive! I mean, their only use in the film was fan service?! What the hell! Overall, watch this film if you are an FFVII fan. Period.

Word count: 147 words.

FFVI and FFXII Dissidia 012 Alternate Costume Galore!

On the first Alternate Costume Galore entry, we have FFIV and FFVII on the spotlight! On the latest scan, we have more costumes for FFVI and FFXII!

For FFVI, we have a better looking Amano Terra and Kefka! It seems that Terra wears a costume similar to Celes Chere from FFVI, which cause me to mistaken her as Celes in an earlier scan (Which all fans agree the contrast to Terra's element) and Kefka's costume is quite similar to his Amano alternate costume.

For FFXII, Gabranth wears Basch's first outfit in FFXII as well as a close look at Vaan's Amano. What's also cool is that if you look at the gameplay, you can see Vaan using a gun!

Kouhei Takeda - Not Vaan in Dissidia 012

Kouhei Takeda, aside from portraying Otoya Kurenai from Kamen Rider Kiva, he also lend his voice in Final Fantasy XII for the character, Vaan. With Vaan being announced to be part of the Dissidia 012 roster, most fans assume that Takeda will return to voice the said character, but we are dead wrong.

Accordingly, because of of conflicts with his agency, it prevented Takeda to record lines for Vaan. But because of high demand coming from fans to want him back to Dissidia 012, Nomura decided to include him and his voice actor was replaced by Kensha Ono (Toy Story 3, Harry Potter, Tsubasa Chronicle, Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces).

Notably, Takeda mentioned in one of his older blog post something like this:
Hey, Square Enix-san. Is that work with Vaan going to appear? I’m waiting (lol)
