Arsène Lupin Manga Adaptation Released!

Known Gundam manga-ka, Takashi Morita, has launched a new series called Adventurier - Shinsetsu Arsène Lupin in this year's third issue of Evening!

It adapts Maurice Leblanc's novels about a gentleman thief, named Arsène Lupin (Pronounced as Loo-pan not Loo-peen like most Filipinos do) who solves cases while outwitting both the police and criminals. The first chapter of the manga retells the first short story Leblanc published called, The Arrest of Arsène Lupin.

Morita has been a longtime fan of Arsène Lupin, and he even gave Lupin a cameo in his very first manga series, Clock Clock. This literary thief/detective character also served as a loose inspiration for Monkey Punch's Lupin III. Aside from that, if you are a fan of Detective Conan, you might say that Kaito Kid is partly inspired with Arsène Lupin.

Now, when will I see him fight Sherlock Holmes?
